Mixed Piedmontese appetizer

Only 0 km vegetables and 100% Italian ingredients of the timeless traditional appetizer. Originally born from Piedmontese peasant families, this recipe is still appreciated today thanks to the flavor of fresh vegetables that goes exceptionally well with the sweet and sour tomato sauce. And with the addition of tuna and boiled egg, the appetizer becomes even more delicious.

Bagna càuda

It is said that it was prepared at the end of the harvest to reward the harvesters for the work done: in fact, it is still prepared and consumed today in the autumn and winter. Hunchback thistle of Nizza Monferrato

Rich in fiber and mineral salts, thistles are vegetables with multiple beneficial properties. In our recipe we use only Nizza Monferrato hunchback thistle, a variety known throughout Italy for its sweetness and crunchiness. Excellent to serve as an appetizer or to create tasty recipes, cardoons preserved in oil can also become a delicate side dish for meat-based main courses.

Muscat mustard

A typical product of the Piedmontese culinary tradition obtained by combining grape must with seasonal fruit such as apples, pears, quinces, peaches or figs. The liquid must and the fruit are cooked and thickened to obtain the classic consistency of a jam. Our Moscato mustard is excellent to be enjoyed in combination with cheeses. Also try it with Piedmontese boiled meat.
